Today I walked in and asked them if they could take a pedicure walk in, there was not one person in the place, the woman said yes and told me to go sit in the pedicure chair and two minutes later another customer walks in wanting her eyebrows done and the woman leaves what she started with me to go help this new customer. I waited and waited, and finally after about 10 minutes I asked if anyone was coming to help me and the woman said I’ll be with you shortly. Ok but you were already helping me. So… why tell me you can take me if you can’t when a better service walks in? I said ok I’ll leave if you’re now busy and there was zero and I mean absolutely zero effort to show I was a valued customer or that they wanted my business. There are hundreds of places to get your nails done but apparently they don’t care about that. I’ll never be back and be sure to tell anyone else to not go here.

UPDATE: After leaving my original review detailing a very disappointing and concerning experience at Divine Day Spa, I gave the business the benefit of the doubt and hoped they would reach out to try and resolve things. Unfortunately, it’s now been over a month and I haven’t received any follow-up, apology, or acknowledgment from the spa. What really stands out is how the owner only replies to glowing 5-star reviews—completely ignoring any constructive criticism or serious customer concerns. That silence speaks volumes. It shows a lack of professionalism, care, and basic customer service. Any reputable spa should want to make things right, especially when a client leaves feeling worse than when they arrived. It’s clear that customer satisfaction only matters to Divine Day Spa when it's easy and flattering. That’s not how you build loyalty or trust. I genuinely wanted to support a small local business, but now I just want to warn others to be cautious. If something goes wrong here, don’t expect any accountability. ______________________________________________ I’ve been to many high-end spas and have experience as an esthetician myself, so I have high standards when it comes to spa services. I decided to try Devine Day Spa to support a small local business after seeing many positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations. I booked a clarifying facial and Indian scalp massage. Right from the start, I noticed issues—the body wrap provided was old and the Velcro didn’t work, making it uncomfortable to wear. The service started with the scalp massage. While mildly relaxing, the oil was cold and unpleasant. They had a hot towel warmer that could’ve been used to warm it, but it wasn’t. The only warmth I received was from a towel under my neck. The 'esthetician' chewed gum, breathed heavily, and kept clearing her throat. She was clearly unwell—and even coughed directly over my face. That was shocking, incredibly unhygienic, and quite unsettling. The facial was sloppy and inconsistent. My face was soaked at times, with product dripping into my hair and down my neck. She applied techniques unevenly and paused several times as if unsure of what to do next. She also used a facial steamer far too close to my face—it was spitting hot water and practically choking me. I told her I couldn’t breathe, and she acted like it was an inconvenience. She clearly didn’t know how to handle the equipment safely, and someone could get hurt. The environment was anything but peaceful. She frequently dropped tools, slammed items down, and spoke loudly when asking me to move or assist her. It felt chaotic, not calming. At checkout, I was told that new clients receive 20% off—but because I booked online, I didn’t qualify. That wasn’t mentioned anywhere during the booking process. I paid $180 for this service and left feeling stressed and disappointed. I really wanted to support a local business, but this was far from professional or safe. I had a truly wonderful experience at Divine Day Spa in Kanata. I booked a 90-minute hot stone relaxation massage, and it was everything I needed and more. The massage was deeply soothing, and the hot stones really helped release all the tension. The head massage included was an absolute treat--so calming and restorative. The therapist was excellent--skilled, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. It’s a small place, but the quality of care and attention to detail made the experience feel truly special. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Very impressed with the services received. The ladies working there (Jhanvi and Pratistha) were extremely accommodating, gentle and nice. We tried the following services: express facial, O3 and d tan facial, lash lift, kids pedicure, and henna tattoos for kids. I have really sensitive skin and didn't react to any of the products that were used. Their application were gentle and the accompanying massages were relaxing. We really appreciated not being rushed for other clients. I recommend this spa 100%.
